As someone who had owned one of Mike's brilliant creation, I can say with certainty that you're in for quite a treat. Congrats. Both #16 and #17 look stunning, and I'm sure it'll sound just as good.
very elegant looking
Everything about it is elegant and beautiful definitely a work of art.hope you enjoy it.
Welcome to the family NG53. Mike's mandolins are beautiful. But, wait till you play yours. And the best part is, the more you play them the better they get. Hope you get it soon. Merry Christmas.

Another Virzi! I wonder if virzis are getting put in more mandos these days?
Objects in mirror are closer then they appear.

Ah Greg! you spotted the Virzi. I wondered who would be the first person to spot it in the photo.
Mike reckons it improves the projection.
Hi Peter,
What makes you so certain that it is twaddle?
My apologies I shouldn't have piped up in a thread dedicated to what is obviously a beautiful instrument. I'm a great admirer of Mike's work and don't want to hijack this discussion.
This is a particularly fine interpretation of the A4 design.
Here's a little video of #17 with a friend of mine, Rick Faris who is the mandolin player for Special Consensus, just noodling around.
Rick also builds some nice dreadnought guitars.
Wow! I have just listened to the video clip. Great sound Mike! I should say awesome.
