As usual... beautifully done, and superb materials. Looks like a very nice 1-piece back there. With all the 'clones' around, it is great to see such distinctive instruments being made. I can certainly attest to the fact that they lack for nothing in the sound department, and again do so with a distinctive, unique voice.

Ken it's really nice and I love the small F holes. I'm sure it will sell and I hope it does soon. However, if it doesn't please bring it to spbgma in a few weeks I'd love to play it!

Stephan, it's already sold, goes to WA. I don't think I'll be at SPBGMA this year, just too busy.

I recieved my new Silverangel on Friday. #330, (Annalee). This mandolin is a true work of art. The disteressing looks so real, the colors are perfect and the sound/tone are out of this world.
It plays like butter and the neck profile is just exactly what I wanted.
I have all of my mandolins set up exactly the same and I measured it up today thinking I may have to adjust it some but it came to me setup just exactly like all the others.

Wow, Ken Ratcliff, you are truly a master builder of mandolins. I have a Collings MF5. and two Weber Yellowstones that are all fabulous mandolins, but I think I have a new favorite.

And to think it will even sound better the more it is played.

I will try as soon as I can figure it out, to send some more pix or a video

    Thank you again Ken

    Beautiful mandolin!

You know about 3 maybe four years ago there was a little concert with a bunch of local bluegrass bands and some other area pickers in Hamilton, Ohio.

At the end of the concert I met a guy from the UK (I think he might have been from Wales? don't recall,) but wherever he was all excited about going down to the KY the next day to pick up a new mandolin from you -- I guess he had commissioned a mandolin from you. I'm sure he was pleased -- everyone there told the guy it would be a gooden fer sure!
