    Default Show your Weber

I was thinking there needs to be a Weber megathread. All things Weber. If Weber made it, you can show it in this thread. Mandos, octaves, octars, mandocellos, dolas, guitars.... etc.

Ok - Nuff funning - here's mine, taken just after i'd bought it. It currently sports an MOP truss rod cover that Weber had made for me by Bryan England's Custom Inlay Co.,

forestf5, I'm probably going to get a Gallatin F with an 8" fretboard radius. Maybe even an ebony pickguard. As soon as I can sell some of my other gear, I will be ordering one.

Ivan, that Fern is sweet! what's your nut width and fretboard radius?

Kidgloves2, Sounds great! That Fern is a work of art, very nice! My Gallatin A has a radius-ed fingerboard as well, I don't know the radius, but it has a good feel to it.

Kidgloves - The nut width is 1-1/8". The neck radius is the 'standard' Weber 10" radius that they apply to all their radiused fingerboards. The pic.shows the Weber 'wood nymph' overtone supressor fitted behind the bridge.I removed it because my wrist kept moving it around. It was never in the same place 2 minutes in a row.It doesn't need any overtone supression anyway,

I had a Weber a few years ago. Big Sky model, with the 'Celtic' inlays. Nice mandolin, but I just did not get along with it, so it moved on to a new home about 3 years back. Here it is, though...

Weber Aspen II, with custom cowboy art.

This started out as my second and became my other first. I got it because my first was not easily replaced. And then I got the art work put on it and now it is even more irreplaceable.

Custom Elite. I can't seem to get accurate representations of the true color with pictures. No matter what camera I use it either comes out too yellow (as is the case here), too contrasted (like my avatar), or too washed out, or just weird looking. Maybe one of these days I'll get some pictures that are true-to-color.

The Weber Gallatin A with f gholes, as owned by R Gray, is in my opinion a stunningly beautiful instrument. It is in really fine taste without the need for razzle dazzle ornamentation. Just about as simple an instrumentas you can get.

Kevin, looking at this it occurred to me that it would be great if you scanned the picture of Bruce and Greg Rich sometime and posted it or emailed me- I think this was the original/pre-digital. It is sort of a lot of trouble though, I know, and not a big deal.
