New mandolin picker here

Hi all. I just got a mandolin after playing flattop for so long I'm embarrassed to say after you hear me play! I'm really enjoying it and finding it a very easy transition to make, although proficiency and 'ease' are two different categories

I've enjoyed reading the posts here and look forward to participating. I live in McKinney, TX just North of Dallas and am hoping to find some other players and bluegrass jams locally.

I've registered latierraextrana.com (The Strange Land) and intend to use it as a hosting platform for 'free speech' forums at some point.
