HELP
I get a error message telling me that the file is too big. How do I fix the image so it will post?
THX
I've tried to post a picture, it appears my profile won't allow it.

Who do I need to talk to to get that changed?
What kinda boggles me is why do I have Flash movie dimensions. #RE: the profile, I couldn't post one if I wanted to.
Oh, well.
The site lords giveth, the site lords taketh away.
All profiles are the same. What are you trying to post?

Hi, Mike
I am trying to post a picture of my mandola in a discussion about Craiglist Successes.
Name here is Greg.
Hi Greg. Did you follow these instructions:
Click on Add Reply at top of page, next to New Topic. When that page opens, type in your post message and at the bottom of the page there is an option to attach a file. Click on browse and locate your jpeg image on your hard drive, highlight it and click on Open.

Yep, I did all that. Four times. I even logged out and logged back in to reset myself, then tried again. No go.
The BROWSE function does show the correct location of the pic when I return from the picture search.
Either MY software is not passing the location to your software, or YOUR software is not picking it up.
BTW, I'm using Vista, if that matters.
Just tried it again for jollies.
The location is still correct.
What happens AFTER I attempt to post the picture?
I get kicked all the way back to the page where all the forums are displayed.
OK.
First, the picture was sent to me.
I PREVIEWED it wa-ay back when.
I was not aware then that the pic is 4+ Meg.
I just now chopped it down to a 'reasonable' size using
Word, Print Screen and Paint.
Trying again.
HOT DAMN!!
The 4+ Meg was the problem.
Thanks for the help, Mike.

It didn't work. Can someone walk me through posting my avatar? I have my images located on My Pictures on my hard drive. I've been trying for a couple of days. Thanks.

I've found when using Flikr or snapfish the image links won't work here. #Usually because they have some extra information in the address specific for the host.
For example
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3023/...bd00dc.jpg?v=0 is the path to a photo on Flickr that won't drop in the image with the image button. #If I drop the characters after the .jpg (which I believe tell Flickr what size image to show) the image will work
If I past this http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3023/...bf19bd00dc.jpg into the image button my picture shows up
However, this can make for large photos being pasted into threads and about kill the thread for dial up users.

It is not working for me
I don't know what you're trying to do here. There is no image file at the location you specified.
