Rick Williams "Blackberry" Blossom fingering question-
Albeit a newbie- Am a stickler for getting technique down consistently as I have learned, within my ability. Always been impressed with Rick Williams "Blackberry Blossom", particularly the variations. Been working hard to develop finger stretching from (for example)3,5,7 and 3,7,3,using the 2nd,3rd and 4th fingers, as I thought was appropriate technique. Saw the Williams video on youtube today, and found a fingering route that would have certainly been easier, using at the 3rd fret the 1st finger.
Took a while to learn the entire song smoothly with the variations using my aforementioned finger configuration. In terms of future reference...Go with what "is" proper methodology, or what feels right???
Thanks- Boomslang

Go with what works most cleanly and consistently for you.

The fingering is an alternate fingering in 2nd position. Just take note that your using a different position and when you make the shift back to 1st position.
