Need info about Gibson with pick-up

A friend of mine in Germany would like to sell the following Gibson mandolin, but we don't have any idea about the value of the instrument.
What would be the price of this instrument in USA (or Eroupe) ????

Gibson EM-150, I'd say 1950-60's. Quick Google search found US prices $1,000-1,300. Condition is of course a factor, as is presence/absence of a case.

Looks to be a 1956 EM-150 all original but missing the tailpiece cover. No less then $800 and as much as $1500. Need to know more about condition and if all electric parts work. Original soft shell case add $50 and original hard shell case add $150. Tuners need repair or replacement.
