So, you think it's odd to look at. You should try putting one together. Nothing looks right from day one and my eyes can't focus for days.

I have a friend, Chuck, who has a left handed F-5L (or Fern now) and I tried to play it. The chord was very easy to make but when my left hand tried to even strum or chop it I felt retarded!!!!
    If F-model mandolins have F-holes then why don't A-model mandolins have A-holes???

Speaking for those of us in our right mind (left handers), I think it looks wonderful. I just don't understand the scale of the poenalty to get a left handed mando.

It would be fun to do the "Jimmy Hendrix" thing and have one of those set up right handed!

It's a thing of beauty. Unfortunately Gibson said they wouldn't build a lefty MM, so i'm waiting on a lefty varnish Heiden

From the pic it looks like the Gibson custom shop in Tennessee,

Hard to focus, I have to go handle a mando to get my eyes straight
    Gibson A9
    Eastman 804D two point, blonde
