Jim, that thing is gorgeous! Those Waverly tuners just match perfect with the coloring of the Fern. Excellent!
    If F-model mandolins have F-holes then why don't A-model mandolins have A-holes???

Jim, that is a fabulous looking instrument. I don't know if I've seen one as pretty as that. I'm sure you'll enjoy it for many years. Congrats. Now, I want to hear what it sounds like.

    JimW,
    # very, very nice. ##58 was born on my wedding anniversary (#24!). Kinda cool to see that date on a mando label. #also, very nice assortment of sound clips on your other thread. #i like Amazing grace the best. #very nice feel to it.

All the best adjectives have already been used up. I am really impressed with the beauty of the woods used on this instrument, and the top is truly exceptional. I know you will have years of enjoyable picking this mandolin!

That may be the most beautiful f-5 I've seen posted here. I love that shot of the back. It's my wallpaper now. If you tilt my screen, you get this incredible shimmer.

my hats off to Ward Elliott. The wood is very Loar-like. Stunningly beautiful in every aspect. Congrats Jim.
A wrong note played timidly is a wrong note. A wrong note played with authority is an interpretation.
