I am going to caveat my question by stipulating as a well-deserved courtesy to Scott and our other hosts, that our collective, all-time favorite case sticker is the MandolinCafe sticker, one of which I have on the case for my Parsons flat-top. Having said that, I realize we've had threads before on dreaming up case sticker slogans, but my question is different, "What is your "second" favorite actual case sticker, is there a story behind it and where can one of the stickers be obtained?"

I'll start: My current second favorite is the sticker for the Columbia, MO based string band, "The Rank Sinatras," which features Mid-Mo Mandolin Company founder and owner Mike Dulak, ironically on fiddle, guitar and vocals. They are a great band, BTW. The sitcker is a parody of the modern saying, "Think Globally, Act Locally." It reads, "Sing Gravelly, Act Yokelly." As far as I know, you can only get one directly from a member of the band.

So what is your "second" favorite case sticker, what is its story and where could I get one?

My 2nd favorite is/was "I'm a knucklehead" bought directly from Red Knuckles & the Trailblazers. They were that group that would travel around with Hot Rize. Come to think of it I bought it from Tim and Hot Rize as Red and the gang didn't seem to be hanging around. I think Tim said they were washing the bus at the time. I sure miss hearing both of those groups. Did I mention that Tim was from my old home town of Wheeling?

    I Met "The Man"

    Dixie's Bar-B-Que #- WHOA BABY!

"The Man" is the name of an unusually hot (I mean hot, brother) habanero chile sauce which Gene will be more than happy to add to your 520 (a sandwich named after the freeway of the same number) here in the Bellevue/Redmond (Washington) area.

"Will fiddle for diddle" which came on the case of an old tenor banjo I own. I'm in the midst of recovering the case, and I've carefully peeled the sticker off and stuck it to a piece of waxed paper until the repaired case is ready.
And now there was no doubt that the trees were really moving - moving in and out through one another as if in a complicated country dance. ('And I suppose,' thought Lucy, 'when trees dance, it must be a very, very country dance indeed.')

I have a couple that aren't remotely funny: 1) Fish with St. Croix: An American Legend and 2) The Ohio Smallmouth Alliance.

My second favorite sticker is from "the bluegrass zone"..............it sez...
    "Bluegrass mandolin players rule!"

If you ain't a bluegrass player then my next favorite would be the...."I Voted" sticker I got earlier this month.
    Cheers!

Don't remember when or where this came from; must have been away from home, drunk! "You show me yours, babe, and I'll show you mine."
I do recall that line in one of Willie Nelson's tunes in the movie Honeysuckle Rose.

My second favorite is the one I got for being a subscriber to Dirty Linen magazine a few years back. The sticker lists these alternate takes on the mags name before getting down to the actual one: Dumpy Lenin, Drippy Lupins, Dairy Lichen, and Dimply Lemmings.
