check out Greensky Bluegrass' website for a free download of their "Handguns EP". Their new album is out in October. I downloaded it already and the tracks are pretty hot!

    Paul:

Thanks for the heads up on this.

I love this band and immediately downloaded the files this morning before work; after I read your post.

I listened to the songs on my way into the office.

I'm sure there may be a couple that will "grow on me" but there wasn't any that immediately grabbed my like some of their previous stuff did (Old Barns, Tuesday Letter).

Like I said in my earlier post-there may be a couple that will "grow on me".

    The first is "Cold Feet".

That's my favorite of the 3 tunes I hadn't heard before. All Four and I'd Probably Kill You were already two of my favorites and the recordings are solid (though I have live versions I prefer).

They are playing nearby on my birthday this year; so excited for that!

I just completed a "post-event" survey for the ROMP Festival and at the end I was able to suggest acts I like to see added to the line-up.

GSB was first on my list; I'd love to see 'em.

    Enjoy the show!

Well ever since I downloaded the EP I couldn't get the song "Cold Feet" out of my head, so I had to figure it out. So for all the "cheaters" out there put your capo on the 4th and use these chords:

    Verse:

    D Am G
    D Am G
    D Am C G

    Chorus:

    C...........G
    C...........D C G (down, down, down)

    For the rest of us:

    F# C#m B
    F# C#m B
    F# C#m E B

    E.............B
    E.............F# E B

And you've got to have words, so:

    Cold Feet

I keep driving through the rain and snow
Windows frosted and I can’t see the lines
All I know is she will be there waiting for me

I hear your voice in everything I write
A hundred songs all thrown away
Stuck in your memory and no where else

    Chorus
The years keep turning, doors keep closing, my hometown is burning down
Well, locks are frozen are broken, windows frozen, snow keeps falling down, down, down

Somewhere I thought I lost my way
Wait a minute, here I am,
Stuck with my doubts and nothings else sticks

I keep singing songs for her,
while she listen on the radio
And I want her to be right here with me.

    Chorus

Sometimes I don’t feel like myself
It screws me and spins me around
Hannah will be there to keep my feet on the ground

    Chorus

    .................................................. ................................

Next up is "Don't Lie". I've worked it up put haven't put it on paper. Can't wait for the album!
