    I have really gotten into purely acoustic archtop instruments. And I have always like natural finishes, too. To wit:

    F-style mandolins seem too flamboyant for my tastes. I appreciate seeing the character of the wood, but I also have a white-face Gibson, which I love. My aesthetic has changed over the years. The instruments I have the most stories with look the best!
