    Default Indigo Girls mandolin

Just got home from Norfolk Virginia's Harborfest (tall clipper ships, tugboat competitions, etc.) where one of the headliner music groups was the Indigo Girls. I've never sought them out but have enjoyed their songs on commercial and XM radio (heavy play on XM The Vlllage). Great live set but I was out of stage-sight when I heard a mandolin. Looked at the video screen to see an A-style mandolin being played. I am curious if anyone has any additional information about the mandolin aspect of their music.

I am aware of one Indigo Girls song with mandolin.
Amy Ray often performs the song "Cordova" solo while playing a vintage Gibson A-oval.
Sometimes band mate Emily Saliers will provide accompaniment (also playing a vintage Gibson A-oval).
When not performed solo by Ray, a fiddle usually provides additional (haunting) accompaniment.
Beautiful song, in all its incarnations.

Amy has a multitude of songs that she plays on the Mandolin. Off the top of my head is Johnny Rotten, on her solo album Stag. Her Indigo Girls songs include Gone Again, Yield, Ozilline, Second Time Around... I know there are more... Learning these songs is what inspired me to get started on the mandolin. I started with Johnny Rotten which is just a blast.
