Wow, she's rocketing her musical career upwards! Thanks Cap'n.
hey, where did you see that? I was just on the SNL site, and it says someone named "Jessie J" is the musical guest for May 28... (No idea who that is...)

Maybe I've got the date wrong, but it was in the Austin American-Statesman newspaper yesterday.

SNL's season finale was this last Saturday, the 21st. Maybe she's scheduled for next season?

That is probably the case. I called the Austin paper and they couldn't find anything...???!!! I know I saw it in my copy yesterday. She is in Nashville at the Grand Old Opry on Saturday and then back in Austin Sunday night at the One World Theater. Maybe somebody at the paper had a bad night. Sorry to get people worked up. Certainly won't be surprised if she is scheduled for the upcoming season.

Capt. E:
I bet I know what happened. Take a look at the music on TV schedule for May 28th on this site.
I'm thinking someone at the paper may have seen this schedule, and confused the two re-runs.
BTW, regardless, it's good to know that the Sarah Jarosz ACL performance will be rerun this week!

... and thanks for flagging that Austin City Limts, Ed! Rerun it may be, but I haven't seen it, and it sounds like a great show.
That has to be it! They confused the ACL re-run with SNL. It would be quite a trick to be in Nashville at 7pm for her album release and make it to SNL studios afterwards. Maybe they've finally invented the Star Trek transporter.
Maybe I should change the title of the thread.

I'm reviving this thread because I think Sara Jarosz was in the band on SNL last night. Did anyone else notice? Am I correct? Looks like she was playing an octave and back up singing. I have to admit I had never heard of the main musical guest Sara Bareilles. But she was quite wonderful I thought.
She was.
Aoife O'Donovan is on that SNL performance, too.
That was quite a treat! I'm a fan of Sara Bareilles as well as Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O'Donovan
