    Somebody finally bid on it (jeffpropert). Anybody you know? I admit I've been strangely tempted, but sanity prevailed (so far).

    Looks like with 2 hours left someone is going to get a good deal, that is a cool mandolin for 2000 bucks.

    The shape of the f-holes should disclose the name of maker. They look quite distinctive and not much like any MacRostie I've seen.

    @ Brian. Fake News. "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated." I do still have my Bob White conversion and it is still a great mandolin and has a perfect neck. It has aged 40 and something years and sounds better than ever. Yes I did move to California to move to a better climate and political climate.

    I do know Jeff. He's played a Flatiron F model for years and he plays it well.
