Here's is the latest mando I've completed. It has a red spruce top and bigleaf back, sides and neck. I know the big "G" won't approve but, I cut a flowerpot for the peghead. I used black pearl and abalone. I am happy how it turned out. I used some varnish that turned out to be alot more amber than I intended. I am getting used to it. Since I was born in 1961, I think it is fitting cause it reminds me of all the yellowed binding on the 50's and 60's Gibsons. The mandolin already has that fat hollow log tubby sound. I am real pleaded with this one. Hope you like it!
