Thread: capo question

    Question capo question

    http://bgmusicwebsite.com/Kyser-Banj...B0002CZVWS.htm

Do you think those are better? I kind of hate the idea of the big trigger capo type and kind of want it to be more sleek and less bulky.

I think Schubb makes a great line of capos.

Can you identify what type or brand of capo is pictured @ about 1:46 in this video?

    Thanks!

This one looks like the one in the video to me. You may want to look at the others Elderly has as well. It looks like some other models could be it as well.

Yup, that's a Paige. I also prefer the Shubb.

I'll make my usual recommendation of the Shubb Lite capo which is almost weightless.

I prefer the Shubb, but it isn't deep enough for my new Loar, so I use a Paige on that mandolin.

I would like to express my deep appreciation and respect to all posters on this thread, which (so far) doesn't contain a single post saying "don't ever use a capo on the mandolin." I think we're all learning to get along, aren't we?

I recall several members mentioning that the Shubb, despite its popularity, doesn't fit well on some mandolins including The Loar. So there's that to consider. What mandolin is the OP playing?

My only mandolin right now is a Kentucky 380. I bought a Paige, thanks!
