    Some A-5 "Artists" were also signed by Steve Carlson. I have one from 1986.

    Yes, I know this too. I think there are Gibson's that are signed by Steve Carlson - not sure. I was implying that the A5-1s and the A5-2s were. I'm not aware of another signature for these early carved-top Flatirons.

    Steve Carlson signed lots of Gibson mandolins. The latest Flatiron A5 Artist I've seen with his signature was a 1993.
