    Default Italian mandolin

Does anybody have access to any mandolin tab for some Italian songs? I wish I bought the Italian book when I got a few books but I didn't. There's an Italian feast in Boston this weekend now I do wish I knew something Italian! I'm surprised there are no Italian tunes listed on this site under the tabs.

    Ciao bella!

This question pops up di tanto in tanto, and having stumbled across this link before but not knowing how else to make it easily accessible to those interested, I say, go to this thread post #25 and click on the thumbnail. It expands to a 24-page pdf document containing 72 tunes. In standard notation, not tab, but I hope this will help. None of them looks familiar, and some look pretty tricky. Also it seems to me there should be a lot of Italian tunes available at youtube. In fact I recall finding someone's channel there that had dozens of these - might have even belonged to a member.

I have to apply myself to this as well. I have a possible gig playing background music in an Italian restaurant. Not really my dream gig, and it's 100 miles each way, but the pay is molto bene.

    Buona fortuna!

Aha! This is the one I found a while back. Nice little Embergher he's got, too:

While searching for that I also found this:

Sorry, no tabs. But listening and playing along is a time-honored tradition. And if you already kind of know a song from having heard it over the years - chestnuts like "Santa Lucia" and "Tarantella" - sitting down and working on it should be fairly easy.

Looks like there's a handful of traditional Italian songs (along with lots of other neat stuff!) here.

If you find one you really like, please let us know. Enjoy the Feast!
