    Did Gison ever make an Octave Mandola/in?
    Info on dimensions etc.....welcome before I start a pair in Fiddleback Sycamore and Walnut

    They followed the tradition of orchestral instruments and made both mandola's and mandocello's. The closest thing to an octave mandolin was a Greek bouzouki and I think in the teens and 20's they were mostly being played by Greeks.
