I'm seriously looking for a good mandolin to top my A5L. Nothing quite catching my eye in the $2000 range yet.
... as a regular reader of the classifieds for more than a year, the number of active postings tends above 200, normally around 220. Looking now, we're down to 189 ads in the mandolin area.
When the combination of the 30 day aging and influx of new adds drops below 200, I start thinking "ah, getting a bit thin" -- just on number of ads, no judgments on their appeal to me personally.
The last fall-off happened just after the last Xmas/New Year season (if I recall correctly), and recovered in a month or so. I'd ascribe this current drop in the number of ads to people being on vacation.
Or maybe everyone's happy with the mando(s) they have, and MAS is dead.

They call 'em instruments because they measure whomever touches them.
All that glitters isn't gold...
Talk about jinxing the Classifieds.
