Hi every one. It has been a while since I have been active on the cafe. Things have smoothed out recently and I have some exciting updates.

This year has been very interesting. I totaled my car last year and that pulled me from my work bench for a while. School was crazy this semester due to my Sr. Recital and my crazy idea to take 16 credits at the same time. I also moved my shop twice this year learning the lesson that it is not a good idea to move the shop into a girlfriends barn in any circumstance.

So spring rolled right into Michigan nicely, the project car is running well, and I've been out in the shop. Currently I am working on mandolin #9 which will be finished within a week or so. Mandolins through #16 are spoken for.

Thanks to Paul Murphy and the web department as Davis Advertising, I wave a wonderful new web page as well as a new domain name and email.

The new site will allow me to upload media directly from my home pc making it possible for customers to follow their custom builds more readily. Neat hu? Check out the site and let me know what you think.

Its nice to be back at it full tilt. I will post some progress pics of #9 soon and well as some finished shots.

congratulations on finishing your degree there at Michigan and best of luck as you move on into the next phase of life... I really like the layout of the new website and fun to watch the videos of your Senior recital - thanks for sharing those clips.

I am looking forward to working with you on the upcoming build.... a Voight A model heading towards Iowa at some point.

Thanks everyone. Well I think I spoke too soon. A day after I posted this thread, my Dad went crazy and booted all of us kids out of the house. I spent the last 3 days moving my shop AGAIN. Im in a much better space now and look forward to settling in.

the site looks great, the sounds sound great, and i still hold playing one of your a styles at greyfox last year as one of my favorite mandolin playing experiences. the sound of that thing really stuck with me.

one minor edit to the website, on the instruments page you have "tonew oods" under available options rather than "tone woods"

cant wait to see and hear more from you and your work bench and hopefully i will run into you or one of your instruments again some time soon.

Nice web site! And congrats on your recital. Your playing is exquisite and your mandos very artistic. Do you plan to stay in Michigan?
