Does anyone have any experience with the Perfectone?

John you can develop you ear for free you don't need a gizmo! LOL!
I am amazed at what people can come up with to separate us from our money! Pretty ingenious I think really!
I used to have a good buddy who moved away but he and I used to play a game. We would call out theme songs for TV shows and we would try and play it. We got pretty good at it.
there are no shortcuts in playing by ear it is IMHO a process.
I've always tried to guess the key of any song I heard played on the radio. I can do ok as long as its acoustic, just can't get my ears wrapped around loud electrical. I agree with Jim in the Old Dominion, after years of playing by ear and if thats the only way you can play music, your skill will improve over time. I don't think its any kind of shortcut to it either.
This is not really a shortcut. It's a way to practice intervals when you don't have or can't play your instrument. It can be done without buying anything I guess by making tapes or whatever or if you already have a laptop.
Still, this is not a bad idea even though it's a little expensive.
