Default Historic musical instrument catalogs online

Here's a listing of vintage and old catalogs that might be useful to some. For example, the 1923 Gibson F5 Mandolin catalog. They're all in PDF format.

I read in the catalog that the top was bow' and tap' tuned. Did they use an actual violin bow to vibrate the wood?

No, they actually used a bow with a blunt tip arrow to zing the top.

Thanks for the heads up on these links. I enjoyed having a look, especially the Tonk Bros. catalog.
