Can't wait to see the finished product. I've never seen one of your mandolins in person, but I've only heard the best about them. Good luck with the oval A. It should be really nice. No pressure.

Your buddy Collings have something to do with this? Next you'll be making an F4... I hope to try one of these out at Fiddlers soon. I suppose they will be priced about the same as the Deluxe A.

Lovely. I would love to hear your take on the tonal differences between a long neck and a short neck oval.

What do you mean "back"? So far you've only announced you were leaving. You actually have to leave before you can come back. As Dan Hicks famously said, "how can I miss you if you won't go away".

BTW, only loonies or the truly self-absorbed refer to themselves in the third person.

ummmmmm COOL a long neck oval hole.........I once owned a Woodley long neck F2, and then a Lawrence Smart long neck, oval hole, 2 point, both great instruments.......loved them both, but you know the story, I have a list of the ones that got away, that I wish I still had.

I was recently looking at a nice snakehead A, but now maybe I need to wait for this. I understand that Fiddlers Green here in Austin is going to get the first one to try out.

I'm anxious to see these and play one. Maybe I'll be adding an Ellis to the stable after all??

Still sort of wondering what the tonal differences you might expect the hear between a long neck and a short neck - I assume the bridge sits in a different spot.
