    My Vessel has a pretty dark red finish on the back so getting enough contrast on the tortoise for a photo is not easy. This is really by design.

    But Gary did get a shot of it that shows both the color and the binding.

    No, that's a new mandolin that Ben has available now. He sent me pics, it's pretty. If memory serves he's asking $4,100, it's red spruce with a varnish finish.

    I really like the single bound tortoise look.
    I like mandolins.
