Owen Hartford is a mandolinist and composer living in the Boston area. Over the (many) years that he has been a regular member of the PMO he has contributed many, many great works to our repertoire, including the great "Family Squabble" and the mini-opera "The Frog Prince.'
Here are two of his very rhythmic, and audience-pleasing "Grooves:"

These pieces, though not hard to play, require a good understanding of rhythms and especially syncopations. They would be great pieces for any orchestra who wishes to work on developing these components of their style. Let me know if you are interested and I can put you in touch with Owen.
