    Default double emando case

Anyone use one? made one? have pics of one?

    i am thinking a gutted bass case or a double-neck case ,
re-foamed and lined would be the go...
(adjust the handle to centre of gravity?)

no need for a bass or doubleneck case. an ordinary rectangular guitar case would be big enough, don't you think?

a piece of foam can also sandwich between 2 e-mandos in an acoustic D guitar gig bag and cushion them against each other..

Found a $60 candidate, so i got around to trying this.
Spent around the same again on the foam.

Just a strap/accessories compartment front left and It's a pretty sweet deal.

    Anyone else done this?
I know Warren Ellis travels his two Korean fenders in a similar way.

Hereby & forthwith, any instrument with an odd number of strings shall be considered broken. With regard to mix levels, usually the best approach is treating the mandolin the same as a cowbell.

How about putting 2 emando cases together . then it would be extra wide not extra long .

I'd be wary of the instrument lying directly on the foam. You shouldn't have a problem with the Mandobird but you might with the other. The foam can react with nitro finishes. I have modified numerous cases and buy foam and a "furry" material from fabric stores for less than $20.00.

there are stacked in the same gig bag soft cases, So, seems that you can modify a suitcase
for a couple E Mandos, probably have to carry another case for all the cables and such,
Anyhow, so the load will be 2 handed in one trip.

Though I don't have a lot, I like to carry my cables and few pedals along with a notebook for my sheet music and such in a bookbag. That way I have both of my hands free to carry my instrument and my Fuchs Mini 112 cab. Oh and my amp is an Electro Harmonics 44 Mag so it's the size of a pedal and fits in the bookbag as well.
