Default Players in and around concord nc

I have been playing mandolin for about a year now and am looking for some folks to play with around Concord nc or Gastonia. It would be great to meet some other players..

Well hey, I'm from gastonia. There's a jam the first Monday of every month at Scruggs opry house (scruggsopryhouse.blogspot.com/) in belmont. There's a weekly jam at The Coon's den hunting store in Cherryville on Thursdays. and another jam session at Coot Williams road on thursday's in Lincolnton.
    Hope that helps.

That sounds great. I work at the Longhorn off exit 21. I am the Executive Chef there and would love to have you stop by and introduce yourself.
I will have to check those out. It would be great to meet some other pickers.
I currently take lessons with Daren Aldridge.

You are down there close to a good luthier in Concord, his name is Bob Shue. Makes some pretty good mandolins.

I'm told that there's a Saturday morning jam in a cafe on Main St in Mooresville, not far from you.

Friday nights in downtown Gold Hill (not far from Concord) has a bluegrass jam from 7 to 10. I've seen several Loars show up there from time to time. Like most jams you will have your super pickers and then quite a few not so super pickers so you never know what you are getting into until jump in there.
