Default The Police: Wrapped Around Your Finger

The Police and Sting have always been among my favorite artists. I still routinely jam out to Next To You or Peanuts from the first album in the car.

I was thinking that some of this would translate well to octave. Though this isn't a literal interpretation of Wrapped Around Your Finger, it's me exploring the song on octave.

Okay, Jim inspired me with this song that I just love. This is my first utube posting. I chopped off my head in this video, but the idea is the music.

Very nice! I like the ethereal atmosphere you create around the song... Sounds very "celtic"! We can imagine the druids walking out of the forest...

Thanks....Yes. It's my MK. Paid $510 for it with a hard case on ebay. It has some small dings in it, but I am very happy with my purchase. It needed new strings and I filed the E and A string down a little. After lowering the action, it plays great.

Thanks, Jim...I love watching your videos, and am still trying to learn from your Voodoo Chile posting...

Wendell, nice job as well...it's still surprising to me how good some of the MKs sound (and how bad some of them can be structurally...I guess the variance is the problem--yours sounds very nice, though)...

In another life as a bass player I was in a band that played "Wrapped Around Your Finger". Also "Synchronicity" and "Message in a Bottle". Ahh, to be a college student again...

Wow. Great work (both)! Jim, I love how you can change from one genre to another, lke changing channels to find another new dimension for the mandolin family. Your YouTube channel is like cable tv, except that there's something worthwhile on. Thanks.
