My job requires me to be around people, and be nice to them, ALL DAY LONG. I just realized my hobbies are all designed to keep me away from people unless I'm being paid. I tend to go through cycles of which one(s) I spend the most time doing.
mandolin
digital photography/graphics/editing
hiking
raising turtles
I just started vegetable gardening
Mandolins, guitars and hot rods, that's mine in the foreground:
Anybody have an old Ford they might want to swap for a mandolin?

Citroen, eh? I wonder if their might be a bit of heightened interest in them now that the lead character of a TV series (CBS' mildly successful "The Mentalist") drives one.

Finders Keepers, my duo with the astoundingly talented and versatile Patti Rothberg. Our EP is finally done, and available! PM me, while they last!
Journeybear............I missed that.....don't watch much TV. Is it a DS Convertible? They are like the Loar's of Citroens....custom bodied by Henri Chapron...and really rare in the US.
My body shop guy is a a major Citroenphile. He even crewed for Citroen for a world rally season one year.

Must be Henry Hanzel......he restored my car, I've known him for decades. His father was the original Citroen dealer in the Bay Area.
I seriously doubt the show's producers have paid much attention to detail. They probably just wanted something unusual with a slightly elitist "public persona" to correspond to the character's personality. Someone somebody knew had one, and that was good enough, I'm sure. The show is on CBS Tuesdays at 9 EDT. We expect a full report on this!
Or not ...

John,
Those seem to have very much in common. They all require the same level of concentration, patience and mechanical skill. They all have very little room for error in execution.
Personally, my hobbies are hockey, sailing, mandolin building. The latter leaves very little time for playing.
Mandolins and dirt bikes. Matter of fact I am leaving this afternoon to go riding in upper Michigan. I have a 2001 KTM 520 and I spent the last two weeks rebuilding the top end so I can't wait to get on the trails.
Take care everyone
I gave up a lot of hobbies to simplify my life, however whether I actively pursue them or not, some of my interests include:
Watching TV and power-lounging.
Skiing
Tennis and racquetball
Scuba diving
Martial arts (aikijujitsu and karate)
Golf
Film and video production
Target shooting
Geocaching -- yeah, the whole family enjoys that. We haven't gone out hunting this year yet. Need to.
I work in the tech field, and several people have noticed that tech and music seem to go together often.
I also used to fence a bit. Interesting to see that mentioned here more than once.
Oh, that's in addition to making music, of course, which is my main hobby now: Guitar, fiddle, etc.

I have several Bicycles too, MAS & BAS, I guess.
or since last acquisition is a Brompton Folding bike , BBAS.

is like dancing,
about architecture
Mine are playing mandolin, guitar, banjo, recording, reading , esp US history, mainly the Civil War, target shooting, center fire, rim fire, and muzzle loader, reloading, hunting although not so much of that anymore, grilling and eating what I've grilled, thats a big one, I love beef, pork, chicken, venison, basically I'm a carnivore. Although the only thing I've eaten so far I don't like is okra. Might add that I love fish big time. Used to do a lot of catfishing. Like to go places with my wife we ain't never been before, since the boys are grown men. She is a goodun'. Used to watch a lot of baseball, still love the game. There is just too many things I like to do that I can't list them all.
