Yes, I know it is for tenor banjo, but Enda was also a multiple winner of the All- Ireland mandolin prize. I have put a review of the tutor on the Tenor Guitar thread here if anyone is interested. His technique translates very well to mandolin especially since he emphasized right hand so much.

He has written a tab version of all the tunes in his book which will be a benefit for those of you who are tab-bound. Look at my review and see if you are interested. I like his approach over the existing mandolin books that I have read.

On Banjohangout Enda was asked if his banjo method would also work for mandolin. He opined that it would since it is the same method he uses on mandolin.

If you are interested in seeing how one All-Ireland mandolin player does it, I suggest you check out his book. Basically he talks about right hand technique with just a few ideas about basic left hand stuff. When I compare it to the existing "Celtic" mandolin methods, it seems to have a lot more to offer.

Enda is now working on a book for advanced players.

well worth it for his reel playing guidelines alone.
