    Default swivel slide

    For playing slide, check out the swivel slide.
    It fits on your pinky like a ring (ordered in appropriate size) and you flip your finger to rotate the flat slide portion over to slide on the strings, then flip again to flip the slide above your pinky and use your finger to fret a string.


    Slide is available for normal guitar width necks or a stubby version that works for mandolin. If you check out the videos on the website you can get an idea of how the swivel works.

    Interesting; thank you for bringing it to my attention. If one is just using slide for the odd embellishment I'd go for standard tuning, be it guitar or mando. What makes the "hybrid" thing tricky is that for a good slide sound you want the nut on the high side & mid to heavy strings, which does render the flash fast lead playing more challenging!
