Does anyone know if they care if you just walk in and play their stuff. I've been in all kinds of places where some care and some don't. And what time do they close?

Be sure and try one, or all, of the Altmans. The made me sad they were so good and I'm so child-not-yet-on-their-own poor.

Well, take the time to plan your trip to include a visit to the Collings factory. Gives you a real appreciation of what kind of work goes into these things. I haven't gone since they moved to their new diggs. I understand it is very impressive.

I'm heading up another Cajun Jam at Fiddlers on Sat. afternoon Aug 30th. Noon to 3pm. They do a Celtic jam on Sunday evenings and a Bluegrass jam on 2nd and 4th Thursday evenings. All of them are great fun. Fiddlers is great!

Sorry to hear about your car troubles Daniel. I was looking foward to picking a few with you. It was a very slow (and long) day today and I didn't have anybody to talk mandolins with.

You should plan out a visit on a jam night and stick around for a while.

Ya I can't get it looked at til tomorrow but oddly tonight it is running find. I was going for some friends CD release which if you have nothing to do tomorrow you guys should check it out. The show is for Beth miner and her new CD. The show will be at the local Austin arts center I believe is the name. Go to her myspace or website for more details which is bethminer.com. Go to her myspace for a taste of her music. I can't post the link as I am on my phone. But search by name or link up to it from mine and you'll get it.
