    grandmainger, thanks, the tone is full and round like an oval soundhole. Plenty of volume. Compared to my other mandolins it is more percussive and has a real punch. The focus of the tone seems to be more to the midrange rather than the low end. But the low end is not weak and overall it is well balanced string to string and plays better up the neck than any other one I've built.

    samuel, the only closeups I have, which aren't all that close, are posted on the wood binding topic over in the builders catagory.

    Bill S, thanks for starting this, I'm just a hobby builder and build mostly for myself. As you can see the style is not very traditional and I enjoy building for fun and not worrying about having to please someone else. I have sold some over the years when I've had more than I want, but for the moment I'm playing what I've got.
