A while back,after seeing a pic of one of Han's F4 types where he had cleverly curled the scroll ridge into the bass side point,I decided to continue the scroll ridge on my F5 types down the side a couple of inches and blend it into the binding. I've done four like that and was thinking I was pretty cool because I'd never seen anyone else do it. Until..yesterday, I ran across some pictures of a Paganoni custom listed (listed at $37,500,by the way) which has an almost identical scroll ridge. I was crushed.
He did it in 1973.
