I dont get choked up myself but I play 7 nursing homes a month and there is allways people crying when I sing The Old Rugged Cross. So I,m kind of selective about how often i do that song !

Great to know I'm not the only one who gets choked up on songs. If you all get a chance..here is an instrumental by Ron Block (AKUS). Sure to bring a tear. I don't know how the man does it..but he sure does it for me. The song is on his "Faraway Land" gospel CD. The song is called "In Memory of Steve". I don't know who "Steve" is..but he sure must of been someone special.

Lots of folks get chocked up when I sing, they are full of emotion. Usually the chocked up ones start coughing and the folks with lots of emotion start throwing things...

I play in a trio and refuse to add several songs to our sets if I know my Mom and Dad are going to be there. Silver Haired Daddy of Mine and Life's Railway to Heaven are tough for me to get through. There are others also but those 2 are at the top of my list. Dave O.

It isn't BG, but I can't even listen to Bob Carlisle's Butterfly Kisses without getting teary eyed. I just hope my 10 year-old daughter doesn't ask me to sing it at her wedding some day.

I was never one to tear up at any songs...until we had our first daughter. Now I'm like to cry at anything, even the most over-the-top melodramatic stuff. Heck I think I once cried singing Toora-Loora-Loora to my girls.

I watched Ron Thomason do "He's Coming to Us Dead" during the worst months of the Iraq war. He was really choked up by the end...you could hear a pin drop and feel the emotion just pouring out.
