    Here's the new backpack model in the works for a customer...



    That's my first carved top, on to the fretboard and back tomorrow morn.

    That's a cool mandolin. Would you mind sharing a few details, e.g. the scale length, materials, etc.? I am curious whether it is a compact regular scale mandolin or a piccolo scale (if I understand correctly a piccolo would have a scale length of around 10.75 inches or so). I saw the pictures of Jamie Wiens' F piccolo and was really impressed. This also looks like it will be very nice.
