Just wonder if anyone knows of any local jams with all levels of players that's taking place in or around Crossville? I'd like to find a few people to hang out with, pick a few songs, learn a few songs and just generally have fun playing.

So no one knows anything about any local jams in the Crossville area?
We are picking at the Cumberland Mountain State Park on June 6th. Not exactly a jam but will be some pretty good pickin. We will likely Jam after the performance?

I'll have to check that out. Thanks. I'll probably bring my mando but since I've not played all that much I might not break it out unless I can find a few other "newbies" to play with.LOL.Originally Posted by (tnpathfinder @ May 19 2008, 13:18)

I've been on that site before, I just wonder if anyone on the forum was going to be at any local jams so we could meet up and maybe pick a little bit. Heck, I can go to Rockwood on Friday nights to meet people to pick with, just wanted to see if anyone here was local enough to pick with. Thanks.

I am jealous! #I wish I had some pickers to learn from, but in South Texas there just isn't anything happening...well not that I know of anyway, and I been looking!

I wonder how a mandolin would sound in a mariachi band? I'm supprised you can't fine someone to pick with in Texas, that's one of the larger homes of Country music.
