Hey Micah, are you playing the A-5 that you made on the song "Big Mon" on your website? #Sounds great. Really has a nice woody pop.

I wish I could say that. The one that I used for the recording is my Morgan Monroe MCM-CB.

Isn't this next weekend a big one for Mountain View ? I'm going to try to make it up. It sounds like fun.

Could someone post a link for more information? I am looking to do some picking this weekend, but the fest in Texas is too far for me. Send me some info........ and I might show up.

They had an event in March, but there's also a pretty big deal this weekend, Saturday and Sunday. My mando teacher in Little Rock said it is a pretty good time with lots of pickers and lots of opportunities to jam at all levels.

The event in April was the 46th Annual Arkansas Folk Festival. Next such event is the end of October, with BeanFest. Thousands of people come for those.

There is no schedule of events, per se, for Mtn. View. It's all very much impromptu, but there is usually someone picking on the Square most nights of the week and week-end.It's all very laid back.

The Ozark Folk Center does have a schedule for its events and concerts. Ozark Folk Center

The only contests in Mtn. View are the annual Arkansas Fiddling Championship, September 26-27 this year, and the Merle Travis Guitar Festival, May 16-17 this year, and a Dulcimer Contest, but I dont know when that was. The fiddling contest is open only to Arkansas residents.
