Thread: Nanowebs early breakage

I've had a set of the elixer nanowebs on my mandolin for about two weeks and I snapped a D string tonight. Anyone else had problems with string breakage with these or is this just my bad luck?

However, I really wasn't crazy about the sound or feel anyway, so I reckon now I have an excuse to replace them. I think I actually liked the Polywebs better.

and I was just about to install some on my mando. What string guage are the one's you used? I currently have J74's on mine and don't want to get too wimped out. I used to Polywebs on guitar for a long time, then tried the Nano, and didn't like them at first. They seemed flimsier somehow, even tho the same gauge. I'm used to them now, I guess.
