This seller has been trying to sell this thing for some time. He is convinced that it is authentic and worht lots, tho he has also listed it for about 1/2 of his current asking price.
The consensus of discussion on this is that it is either a ornate decorative non-instrument or a hoax perpetrated by someone.
If I were the seller I would take it to a few experts and have it verified that it is what he says it is. I highly doubt he paid anything near that for it -- I see him often at the local flea market.
