Nice mando! For future reference though, you can reply to your own post to put up more pictures of it (so it's all in one thread instead of three).

How's that baby sound? I've only played one and it was nice. Still a little new sounding, but good and sounded like it was going to come to be quite a nice instrument.

Yes I realized this after I posted them, but was unable to delete them to start all over. This is the first time I posted pic`s. Live and learn I guess.

To answer you question, I have owned a Steffey and a Bush as well as a Weber Fern. This is by far the best sounding mandolin that I have owned. All the above have a there attributes, but the master has a tone that just moves the soul.
It is very hard to put it down and do the honey do lists that my wife has for me!!

The MM is dated May 22 of 02. Purchased from Marc Darrow`s stash.

    Thanks for the nice comment.

Very nice colour on that one!
Sometimes they don't look quite right to my eye, but that one's a beauty!

Darrell was nice enough to let me give his mandolin a little test drive at Camperfest a couple of weeks ago and boy is he right about the tone....SWEET!
