    Unhappy

The handle on my case is kinda of ragged. I have seen the leather replacement handles at FQMS. Have any of you used them and are they comfy in the hand? I am looking for 2 sets of
D rings and their attachment straps. I would like to affix a shoulder strap to a shaped GWW case. Any idea where as to where I can find them? Lp

I have 2 buckle on replacement handles, on 2 different cases .
I have a walk in music instrument repair guy I patronize.

they are quite satisfactory. retail $15 , roughly.
d rings are often in compression , just from forming, and can be pried open, and closed again if the handle you really desire requires it.

D rings can be found at some hardware shops , tack and marine ,
[ for those that keep their pony on their boat ]

I just drilled a couple of holes in the sides of the case, stripped a little of the lining aside, put in small eye bolts and cut them off flush with the nuts on the inside. Then I covered up the nut with a little moleskin and put the lining back in. I used big washers on both sides. Now I attach a strap to the eye bolts with mini caribiners. Not too pretty, but it works.
How were you planning to attach the D rings?
Also, I bought a replacement handle from Elderly that my wife uses on her old sewing machine case! It's a great handle.

I was looking for the same kind of D ring and anchor-strap that the handle attaches to to use for the shoulder strap. The D rings that anchor the handle on my case are fine. I'll check at the hardware for those and order a leather handle from FQMS. Thanks Lp

suitable for a shaped case , perhaps add just one D ring,
on the other edge, the side where the hinges are.
I like the arrangement as on my Pegasus. the one D ring is
on the lower edge of the case, the carry strap attaches to it,[opposite rear handle ring, and the other end , to front handle ring, slings over my shoulder better than the Calton which has 2 D rings on the top edge.

Check Tandy Leather, too, if online shopping is required from your location.

    Thumbs up

Robert thanks for the tip on the handle and I like the suggestion on the D ring placement as well. Lp
