Ok, so I bought the Mel Bay book years ago, with the casette that came with it. Now I like to get back and take another shot at it, but the cassette is somehow inconvenient these days. I seem to recall that the cassette is available as a download somewhere, which would be great for my ipod. Can sombody provide the link, please?

    thanks!

Yeah, I'd like that too. I remember there was a small blurb in the softcover book I got back in the 70's about the existence of a tape. I looked into it at the time, never did get. This was the book with Exercise 1 in F, Exercise 2 in F, Flickin My Pick, Jethro's Tune, Junque Yard, Sam's Bush, Londonderry Air, Butterfingers, etc. Later on, Mel Bay out out a spiral bound thing, combining this book with another book that had several transcriptions from the record he did with Wade Ray and Sonny Osborne, had the famous Back Up and Push solo, plus a bunch of other stuff, like a 9 page workout of Jesse James, America the Beautiful, etc. That book I think came with a tape, I will look for it.

I've seen the book sold with a CD and with no recording at all. Don't know if anything is online.

There is a download of private lessons that someone took with Jethro that is frequently cited as going with the book but it is a different thing. The book is currently sold both with and without a CD.

I know it comes with a CD now, I wish that had been available when I bought it. I know that some lessons of Jethro were available online, and I seem to recall that CD was too.

The lessons with Jethro are available for download at http://www.robcoleman.com/jethro/

Again, this is not a download of the CD that goes with the Mel Bay book but is a free download of private instruction recorded around 1970 organized as four CDs. #Since both are derived from his teach material there is overlap in the songs.

Replacement companion CD for the book, can be bought from Mel Bay, the publisher.
