Heres a story that ABC did on me this week. http://abclocal.go.com/wjrt/story?se...cal&id=5155970 Someone from my school (Univ. of Mich) called them up and thought it would be a good idea. They show #1 and 2 on here and some clips of me playing. Let me know what you think.

You don't sound like an idiot. Just close your mouth when you play and the word idiot won't enter anybody's mind.

Congrats on the nice mandolins and great picking.

Very cool Dan! Had no idea you were so young! Keep up the great work and great playing. I use Flexcut carving tools, give them a try they are made of high carbon spring steel and keep a great edge. Great sounding mando!

Great job pickin'. That was a nice clip. It's nice to put a face to that cool green F5 that you posted a few days ago. Keep up the great work.

You've got a hot hand with the mandolin, Dan--both picking and building. You should be proud.

Great job, Dan! One of these days there will be a thread here about "Holy Cow! There's a Voight in the classifieds, and they're only asking $75K!!!"

You did yourself proud on TV! #Your career can go anywhere you want it to (building, performing or both). #It's just too bad that, at age 19, you started too late and are now past your prime (LOL)! #You're a talented guy! #Stay with it. #

Dan - the mando and your playing sound great. I was born in Flint and most of my family lives in the area. It's nice to hear good things coming from Flint, keep up the good work.

    Dan,

I thought that was great! I very much enjoyed the playing. Lately, I've been caught up in a "boom-chuck" strum funk. You imspire me to get back to pickin'!

It's a toss up for me whether your great tone is from your building or your playing... you should be proud of both! Very nice!

Like all the others have conveyed - great job. I saw the link on the home page (I'm from West Michigan) so gave it a look right away.

Overall a very informative and well-rounded interview for just under two minutes!

Your mandolin building and playing are excellent! Keep up the great work.

Very inspiring. For only being your 2nd mando, that green demon is awesome. I like the tiny fret markers and the little tweaks that give it a traditional shape with plenty of contemporary character, very unique. Most importantly, it sounds sweet.
