    I am completely out of my element here but does anyone know what these are like-

    Never played one, but the reviews I've read of similar looking mandolins were not favorable. You might spend more on a good set-up than on the mando itself.

    Maybe not explicitly a Galveston, but looks like the same instrument. Avoid at all costs.
