Inside photo. You can see how much care he takes. I sent him a tracing, and asked for camo, which he executed perfectly. Great value. His company is Dunamis Designs; maybe there is a website. His phone # is here on the cafe, just search.

Now that's weird, I searched for your custom case thread just last night Greg to get the name of the builder. If everything goes right, I'll have to order a custom mandolin/mandola case before too long.

    Hello Everyone
I'm still around but not really making many cases anymore. I made around 100 of them and realized I was making about $3 an hour! I moved to a new shop and it took a long time to set up so production was down and during that time I made the decision not to pursue it as my main job. It was alot of fun and I really enjoyed working with a bunch of the forumites. I kind of got bored with case making after all the initial problems were solved. It got to the point where I felt I had made the best cases I could and was very happy every aspect of them. #I didn't want to compromise at all on the quality, just wanted to make the coolest cases ever and keep them reasonably priced. Having succeeded in that -the challenge was gone and I was left with an extremely low paying job that I couldn't even live on.Working on a couple of mandolins now, plenty of challenges! I will still make a few cases here and there so feel free to call anytime. There never was and still isn't a web site but alot of pics are probably on the forum still.
It was a pleasure working with those of you who bought cases and I hope they are holding up well. Mine is doing fine and it takes alot of abuse for 3 years now.

better to call as I don't like to type and probably seem not friendly #in writing.

How's that camo one doing? That was the only one I did and I've recently seen some of the big makers offering them in camo. It was your idea and a good one!

Arcane, if I'm ever at a festival and stumble over a leaf-covered rock that turns out to be a mandolin case, I'll know who to call.

    Those are beautiful cases.

Love that camo case, its as unique as the Knutson that lives inside!

I've loaned the instument to Brooks Williams (singer/songwriter who is primarily a guitar player), and he takes it on the road from time to time. Case is holding up well apparently, though I should probably get a case cover for it. And then a case for the cover?

    Hi Rob,
I'm still happy with my tweed double case that you made me. I went down to one mandolin but I didn't want to part with it as I hope to use it again for gigs (plus a back up mando is coming). I'm sorry the finances didn't work out for an income.
I liked the pictures of the amplifiers that you did.
