Was wondering, what is the best magazine out there that has to do with building stringed instruments?

Darrin, you can join either the Guild of American Luthiers; they have a publication. Or join ASIA, which also has one, although it is geared more to guitar building. You could also buy one of the Big Red Books (or all of them) through either the GAL or Stewart MacDonald. The Big Red Books are compilations of articles from the GAL publications.

You can join the GAl HERE and your quarterly subscription of American Lutherie will be in the mail. Best organization you can belong to when it comes to this craft. It is an annual membership, so if you join late in the year they will also send you the issues that have already been shipped.

Does America Luther have a catolog?
Darrin, the back is pretty much back to normal. Thanks.
Rick, I believe they have a catalog of back issues. Check their website. Otherwise, like I said, the Big Red Books hold a huge number of articles each.
