Ok here is a picture of Hans' headstock for the F4 special that he is building for me. I spent a day with Hans and Maureen trying many mandos that he had. I have an Italian topped F5 that I love and wanted an F4. I sent him some Handel tuners to give it that vintage touch. Here is the headstock pic Hans sent me in December. Rich

I don't know the date yet. I will ask Hans. However, I have found it is best to let the artist do his work without any imposed timetables. What will be will be. If it is done by Joe Val, I will have it there-feel free to come by and play it. Rich

Hans shpould have his own PBS show! Beautiful headstock. I like the recessed TRC, too.

I played the F4 Hans brought to LoarFest/SuperGrass last year and you should pray this one will have the same beauty, playability and tone that one had. It was perfect in every way and the finest new instrument I've ever played. The gentleman that ended up with that instrument was to be doing some recording with it and posting some music files soon.

Rich, Hans made my F4 for me 17 months ago and it is stellar indeed--it just feels right in my hands. The sound really is wonderful and I play it regularly for dances. It is as fun to play as my Gibson F4s and it certainly has that mojo. You will just love yours-- Doug in Vermont
